Biography of Perishing Mankind
Perishing Mankind was founded by Georg (guitar), Gernot (guitar), Paul (bass) and Beate (drums) in May 2001. Due to the lack of a vocalist, in the first year only instrumentals were written.
In April 2002 the band moved to a new rehearsal room (Hell´s Kitchen), and two vocalists, namely Anne and Holger, joined Perishing Mankind.
After one more year intense rehearsal and songwriting the first gig was performed on 24. May 2003. After one more concert Anne left the band, and with that the sound became more direct, more thrash metal.
In autumn some more gigs were performed, for example support for Farmer Boys or Konkhra. The songwriting and the sound were improved, a new live set was written. Until spring 2005 Perishing Mankind played many gigs and is still to perform more (Highlights: AUTScream Festival 04, Kaltenbach Open Air 04 Metalcamp 05).
The sound of Perishing Mankind is described best with modern Thrash Metal.
The songs are characterized by extreme changes in tempo and hard riffs with catchy melodies. In March 2005 Perishing Mankind signed a record deal and went to studio to record their first album Fall of Men.
It will be released via Black Lagoon Records in July 2005.
