Meet and Greet
Posted: 6/3/2006

The boys just finished a very enthusiastic meet and greet with the members of the fan club. All four guys are in their pre-concert ritual, and are heading to the tuning room soon. Tonight's show will be a special one, so listen in on the web or if you can, watch MTV Europe. You don't want to miss this! More updates coming during the show.

The Full Album
Posted: 6/3/2006

Metallica just celebrated 20 years of the Master of Puppets album by playing the entire album, in it's entirety! That's right folks, full on ORION!! What's coming up? I bet you can guess...

Thank you, good night

"We may see some of you tomorrow" said Lars at the end of the show, "We may even see some of you on Tuesday. But we WILL see you next year with a new album and a new tour!" We like the sound of that Lars! Setlist and pics are up.

Ring review from TafferV2

Tonight was something that will be remembered. Tonight was the night that Metallica stunned the world with their remarkable performance in Germany. Rumours were spread, rumours were heeded. The Metal Gods were going to give us something special this tour, and so they did. Metallica performed the "Master Of Puppets" album - in it's entirety. Everything from the Battery mid-break, to the full performance of Orion, even the beautiful intro of Damage, Inc. - they didn't let up. Creeping Death gave us an adrenaline charge as the boys showed their faces on stage for the first time in a couple of months. You could really hear the difference in the crowds from earlier on in the day. I'm certain a majority of the audience came just to see Metallica, because the other bands didn't get half as much of a reaction as the Boys. Fuel and Wherever I May Roam followed and kept the crowds going. And when For Whom The Bell Tolls began, Robert gave us a funky bass solo to warm the fans up. Kirk's guitar solo was that of sheer brilliance, he's really showed off tonight! After Fade To Black (a classic of Metallica's catalogue) came the real treasure of the night: Master Of Puppets. Not the song, the whole album! It's really cool how they do that to celebrate 20 years of one of the greatest metal albums of all time. After Damage, Inc. came the usual classics of Metallica. James Hetfield sounded a little squeeky during Sad But True, but he certainly was forgiven with Nothing Else Matters. He really impressed me with his melody. Well done to him. An eardrum-shattering firework display started the epic song from ...And Justice For All, One. I love how such a melodic song can turn into such a destructive piece of metallic mayhem at such short notice. It just makes you want more and more. The classic song, Enter Sandman, had everyone jumping up and down. Who doesn't know this song? You have to enjoy it or you're not cool! Disappointment arose in the crowds when the band said their goodbyes, but the party resumed when Hetfield burst out mid-sentence with "I got something to say....". Last Caress is a short song, but that doesn't mean it's not really cool. Finally, Seek & Destroy had the crowds truely reacting. It makes me so excited to hear Papa Het shout "Searchin'..." and then everything is drowned out with Germany shouting "SEEK AND DESTROY!!". All in all, the show was fabulous. Metallica have surely not sounded as strong as they have tonight for a very long time. James Hetfield's voice has improved significantly. Lars Ulrich has made me jealous with his skills on the kit. Kirk Hammster gave us some mind-blowing guitar solos. And of course, Rob kicked my face with his mighty bass. I look so forward to further dominating shows from them. Metal up your ass!! - Mark Riches

Come on!
They seem in good condition, and tour is just began...
The best has still to come, believe me.
