The Road To Bologna 2008 - Part 3

At 9 pm the AC/DC intro cames out from the speakers, so they let the fuckin’ fun begin. During “Ecstasy Of Gold” I had goosebumps as usual. Metallica started again with “Creeping Death”. Big Mick really did an good job with the sound this evening and also the band was in an really good mood. They go on with “For Whom The Bell Tolls” and “Ride The Lightning”, followed by an heavy version of “Harvester Of Sorrow”.

Sound was perfect and the people went crazy aswell. Asskickin’ show, really. Then Metallica starts an fantasic version of “Bleeding Me”. Show goes on with “The Four Horsemen”, “…And Justice For All”, “No Remorse”, “Fade To Black” and “Master Of Puppets”. Now an neckbraking version of “Whiplash” was right followed by “Nothing Else Matters”, “Sad But True”, “One” and “Enter Sandman”.

But show wasn’t over. The croud want’s more and i think even Metallica want’s to give us some more. So they go on with “So What?” and my alltime fave “Motorbreath”. Show ended as usual with “Seek And Destroy”.

After the show they collected the banners, and they also catched an pretty big one. It was the one from the Italian Metallibashers, I think James loves it. He was running with it across the stage and back. Then they pull it over Lars’ drumkit.

Once again an huge asskickin’ thanx to Riccardo De Santis for making all this things possible for us. Brother, hope to kick your ass soon again. I’m pretty sure nobody of us will never ever forget what you’ve done for us, we will always remember it.
Next day, July 23rd we all went out for having breakfast again, but now it was time to say good bye.

Thanx again to my members being with me on tour, and to all my friends from the Italian Club like Rick, Diego, Carlo, Fabio, Paolo, Mario, Nadja, Max and all the others. I hope you all had some nice days down in Bologna and I also hope to see you soon again. Take care my friends.

Well Guys,

here I am, trying to describe what a blast those two days were.
It's hard to express my feelings, what happened in Bologna was more than anyone of us could ever expect. At the end of the show I had tears running down my eyes.... it was unbelievable what James did for my chapter.... seeing him running with our flag all over the stage was something I could only dream of!
This pays me back of all the efforts done during these years, last but not least the efforts to organize the Bologna show the best way possible.

From the hotel choice to the pizza together, from the pre show party to the show itself, everything was perfect. I was so pleased to see you all into the pit, so happy in the first row!

I can't find the words right now, I am still trying to get my feet back to the ground..... all I can say is, those two days will last in my mind for a long time, not only for Metallica, but also for you guys..... I might be rockin', but you rock, too!

Thanks so much and see you on the road in March! (Yes, March!)

i already wrote it afew times, but we can't thank you enough, rick!! it was incredible what you have organised for us...the hotel, the pizza, the pre-show, the pit, ..... thank you so much for all your efforts....these days in bologna will be in my mind forver!!!

believe me, you and your chapter definately deserved the great honor james gave to you when running across the stage with your metallibashers flag!!! großes Grinsen
